This April, Fox Valley Technical College is hosting a series of events in honor of Hmong Heritage Month.

Hmong are the largest Asian ethnic group in Wisconsin. Hmong Heritage Month allows us to reflect on the many sacrifices that the Hmong people have made in service to our country and to celebrate the vibrant, resilient and diverse culture of Hmong Wisconsinites as an important part of our state’s identity.

Hmong History

Learn about the history of the Hmong people and where they came from.

Wednesday, April 12
Social Story Cloth
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Room E130AB, Appleton Campus
Learn about the story cloth and make your own while socializing with peers.

Wednesday, April 19
A Night in the Jungle
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Room C190ABC, Appleton Campus
Experience what the Hmong people went through as they try to escape from Laos.
Dress appropriately for active engagement, loud noises, and flashing lights

Thursday, April 20
Peb Hmoob Keeb Kwm: "Our Hmong History Conference"

Conference for high schoolers in Appleton and Oshkosh areas
